Vaerens works on both sides of the same problem: how a crop should be grown, and how to measure and support that with software.
Why the combination
Practice and tools, developed together
Mit works in both horticulture and software. Consulting surfaces the questions — how a system should be laid out, why a crop is not performing, what a climate strategy is actually doing — and those questions decide what is worth building.
The tools then feed back. Software and camera-based monitoring make it possible to measure things that were previously estimated, which makes the advice more specific. KOBRA started this way: measuring crops properly turned out to be the limiting factor in answering questions that came up in practice.
It is a small, technical practice. Work is taken on where that combination is genuinely useful.

Mit works across horticultural consulting and software development: a horticultural education and professional strawberry and greenhouse consulting experience, alongside a long background in software engineering and machine learning.
